MatWeb 5.0 is launched, with our first complete database redesign in five years. We have made infrastructure changes, using the latest web technologies to provide a much more powerful Advanced Search interface for our registered and Premium users. A key feature is the ability to systematically search for two-dimensional property data, such as the ultimate tensile strength as a function of temperature. All users can enjoy the new details of the new tree structure in the popular Category Search. More Details.

MatWeb has made a major upgrade to the Advanced Search features available to Premium users. Search results based on property or composition values can now be sorted by values - ascending or descending. Clicking the arrow atop search results is all that is needed. All users of the Advanced Search can input multiple criteria at once now, rather than only in an iterative process.
We have added a specialized search page for users who need to locate specific fluid lubricants from MatWeb's growing collection:

MatWeb has upgraded its functionality and added exports to 3 more FEA packages: ALGOR, ANSYS and NEiWorks. Users of these programs can now export technical datasheets from MatWeb's collection into the proper format. These features are available to our Premium members. The appropriate property values in the correct units are automatically added to the file with ease and accuracy.
Our data sheet count is now over 52,000. Many different material types have been added. Below are our most recent activities:

Users of SolidWorks/COSMOSWorks software can now export technical datasheets from MatWeb's collection in the SolidWorks/COSMOSWorks material library format. This is the new feature of our Premium membership. Users can create and export libraries of 20 materials at a time in SolidWorks/COSMOSWorks material library format (.sldmat) from MatWeb's collection of over 53,000 material data sheets. The appropriate property values in the correct units are automatically added to the .sldmat file with ease and accuracy.
Our data sheet count is now over 46,000. Special emphasis in recent months has been on growing data from outside of North America to match our American collection. Below are our most recent activities:

We have some new tools for our registered users. Premium Users can now export comparison tables into Excel (via .IQY files) as well as CSV files. Both Registered and Premium users can chart individual property values from the comparison tables.

We have added or completely updated 11,000 data sheets over the last three months, bringing our total to over 36,000. Minor property updates were made to another 1500 data sheets as a part of our ongoing effort to provide our users with current, comprehensive technical data.
