Meyors Chemical Rubber Accelerator CBS (CZ)
Categories: Other Engineering Material

Material Notes: Product Code: MSHQD-AC005-00 OT
Chemical Name: N-Cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolesulfenamide
Trade Name: Rubber Accelerator CBS (CZ)
CAS No.: 95-33-0
Molecular Formula: C13H16N2S2

Typical Properties: Grayish-white powder with little odor, no poison. The density is 1.31-1.34. The melting point is more than 96?.Soluble in Toluene, Chloroform, benzene, CS2, CH2Cl2, acetone, ethyl acetate, insoluble in water, gasoline, acid/Alkali with lower concentration.

Recommended Applications: In industrial rubber products. CBS can be used with secondary accelerators, like as the TMTD to replace MBTS/DPG systems. CBS can also be used in EPDM and NBR compounding as the primary accelerator, giving good scorch delay and fast cure rates. CBS can be (in combination with CTP) used as an alternative for NOBS. It can avoid the problem caused by N-nitrosamines. And it also has the equal function on scorch safety and faster cure rate as NOBS
