ChevronTexaco Concrete Form Oil VOC
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC delivers value through:
  • Clean separation from forms — imparts an excellent surface finish to concrete.
  • Minimal build-up on forms — providing longer form life
  • Rust protection to metal forms — provides protection during application and during short storage.
  • Low Volatile Organic Content — designed for use in those geographical regions with special requirements for VOC.

Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC is a clear, light pale, non-staining premixed product containing mineral oil, a special mold release agent, and a light distillate which facilitates applications. It has a low viscosity and low pour point which allows for easy application year round. It possesses excellent mold release properties which results in attractive concrete surfaces without blowholes, chips or other blemishes.

Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC is designed to keep forms clean, providing longer form life. It also provides excellent rust protection on steel forms during application and short storage. After demolding with Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC, concrete surfaces are generally suitable for painting, epoxy and/or coating operations.

Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC is specially formulated to meet local requirements for volatile organic compounds (VOC) and still provide the excellent performance of a concrete form oil.

Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC is designed to provide clean and easy separation of concrete from wood, metal and other forms. The special mold release agents contained in this product reacts chemically with the alkali in the concrete to form an interfacial film which promotes separation from the form and imparts a smooth texture or satin finish to the concrete. It is designed to minimize sticking of the concrete to the form which results in excellent surface finishes.

Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC is suitable for use on all types of forms, including steel, aluminum, hardwood, plywood, and epoxy-coated forms. It is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor conditions. It meets the South Coast Air Quality Management Districts Rule 1113-1 requirement for Volatile Organic Content.

Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC may be brushed on or sprayed using conventional Cocrete Form Oil spraying equipment. For best results, it should be applied to only clean and dry surfaces as an ultra thin film. Pooling of the mold oil on forms should be avoided. It provides typical coverages of 800-1600 sq ft/gal on wood molds and 1600-3200 sq ft/gal on metal surfaces. Typical spraying pressures of 35-60 psi may be used to apply Texaco Concrete Form Oil VOC.

Typical test data are average values only. Minor variations which do not affect product performance are to be expected in normal manufacturing.
