Material Notes: Product Description: AKROWAX 135 Synthetic Paraffin is a mixture of linear and branched paraffinic hydrocarbons. It is designed for use in the rubber articles as a viscosity modifier, gelling agent, slip agent, and protectorant. Typical loadings are 2 to 4 phr in a normal applications; 4 to 8 phr in highly loaded compounds. Akrowax 135 does not produce a wax film bloom as “thick” as regular paraffin waxes. This wax complies with F.D.A. Regulations for use as indirect or direct food additives described in Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Chapter 1, Section 172.886 and 178.3710 as well as 177.2600, Rubber Articles Intended For Repeated Use.
