Product Description: Antioxidant DLTDP is a thioether antioxidant synergist heat stabilizer. DLTDP find application where improved long-term, heat aging properties are required. Typically, DLTDP is used in conjunction with hindered phenolic antioxidants as well other antioxidant chemistries, to enhance their performance. It is a nonvolatile stabilizer and offers low oral and dermal toxicity. DLTDP is non-staining, with good color retention, good compatibility and low extractability. DLTDP can be use in peroxide cured elastomers as it has a minimal effect on vulcanization properties. Application: Antioxidant DLTDP finds application in plastics, rubber, coatings and adhesives. In rubber, Antioxidant DLTDP can be used in SBR, NR-IR, EPR, EPDM, PBR, CR, NBR, and many other synthetic polymers. For superior heat stability, a synergistic ratio of three to one should be employed: DLTDP to hindered phenolic antioxidant. The typical dosage for rubber applications is 0.5 - 1.0 PHR (DLTDP) to 0.15-0.35 PHR (AO 1010, 1076, etc.). Antioxidant DLTDP is very effective in PP, ABS, and HDPE. Antioxidant DLTDP is listed as dilaurylthiodipropionate, and as such complies with 21 CFR 175.300 (Resinous and polymeric coatings) and CFR 177.2600 (Rubber articles intended for repeated use). Always verify current regulatory standards and dosage limitations for your specific application. Information provided by Akrochem Corporation |
