| DESCRIPTION: GLYPTAL 1559 Gloss White Lacquer was designed or general purpose finishing of industrial products. This alkyd nitrocellulose lacquer has good color and gloss retention, good humidity resistance, and very good weather durability. SUGGESTED USES: GLYPTAL 1559 is designed for use as a custom finish for industrial products. It is also suitable for finishing hospital and kitchen equipment as well as trucking equipment. Because of exterior durability, this paint is ideal for use on outdoor signs. APPLICATION: GLYPTAL 1559 White Lacquer may be applied by spray or dip methods. When used to finish metal surfaces, it is preferable that a primer such as Glyptal 7920 be used first. REDUCTION: For spray or dip application, thin 1559 Lacquer with approximately equal volume of G1514 Lacquer Thinner to 20-25 seconds using #2 Zahn Cup. SURFACE PREPARATION: Surfaces to be painted should be dry and free from dirt, wax, grease, rust, and oil. Remove grease and oil by washing surface with mineral spirits. Allow surface to dry thoroughly. When painting over a glossy surface, reduce gloss by using fine sand paper or steel wool. Information provided by Glyptal Inc. |
