Product Description: Accelerator TETD is a very active, sulfur-bearing, non-discoloring rubber accelerator for use in natural and synthetic rubber systems. It can be used alone or combination with many other common rubber accelerators. Application: TETD functions as a primary accelerator for cure systems requiring very low or no sulfur. It is cure modifier in W/G-type neoprenes. It is often used in conjunction with thiazole or sulfenamide curing systems. Accelerator TETD contains 10.8% available sulfur. Normally zinc oxide and a fatty acid are required when using TETD in a natural rubber application. Sulfur is not required, but is often used. TETD can be blended with TMTD to reduce the tendency of the compound to bloom while maintaining cure activity. Accelerator TETD is also available as Akroform® TETD-75. This polymeric masterbatch contains 75% Accelerator TETD. Polymer bound or encapsulated dispersions are a proven means of upgrading plant safety, efficiency, quality & raw material control.
