Master Bond adhesives
Danquinsa EMULTROL® E-166 Adhesive
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Adhesives, Sealants, and Coatings

Material Notes: EMULTROL E-166 is a high quality, aqueous tackifier emulsion, which results in very good adhesion properties, even on non-polar substrates and polymer-bound cardboard surfaces. EMULTROL E-166 is well applicable in acrylate, PVAc, EVA, SBR, NBR and polyurethane dispersions. For EMULTROL E-166 especially the adhesion properties and high surface tack properties have been adjusted. This tackifier emulsion has also an excellent wetting effect on silicone coated transfer surfaces. The tackifier emulsion is characterized by good oxidation and UV resistances. As EMULTROL E-166 is produced very finely dispersed, it results in a very good storage stability and a good homogeneity in the adhesive formulations. At the adhesive formulation it is important to adjust the right pH-value for a good compatibility with this resin emulsion. The pH-value can be set accordingly in the formulations with alkaline additives as for e.g. caustic soda or ammonia. At a too high alkaline pH-value or at a too acid formulation of the formulations, a coagulation of the adhesive formulation can occur.

Application: EMULTROL E-166 is an optimal tackifier emulsion for the equipment of aqueous adhesion and label adhesives. Construction adhesives, which have to present a long open time and for which an adhesion improvement for different substrates has to be carried out, are also modified with such tackifier emulsions. EMULTROL E-166 is all over used in adhesive formulations, where a very good adhesion is necessary on difficult synthetic foils, which have to be bonded. The product is also used for adhesive tape coatings and self-adhesive equipments of textiles and synthetic foils.
