| Product Description: HRJ-11995 is a cashew nutshell oil-modified phenolic novolac resin. It has been formulated to have a reduced residual phenol content of less than 1%. Applications: HRJ-11995 is intended for use as a reinforcing agent in elastomer-based compounds. It typically is used in combination with a methylene donor such as hexamethylenetetramine, commonly known as hexa. HRJ-11995 is commonly used at levels up to 30 parts resin per 100 parts rubber. The higher resin levels will provide more hardness, with less flexibility, in vulcanized elastomer compounds. Hexa levels are typically about 7 parts hexa per 100 parts HRJ-11995.
