Ensinger PEI
ChevronTexaco Texmar 16 SG SAE 30
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Texaco Texmar 16 SG delivers value through:
  • Wear protection — Texaco Texmar 16 SG oil has superior anti-wear characteristics to reduce wear on all moving engine components. Controls ring and liner wear through its ability to neutralize acids formed by the combustion of sulfur in fuel, thereby permitting longer overhaul periods. Contains high performance antiwear additives, providing excellent protection for cams, camshaft and bearings.
  • Prevention of deposits and sludge — Prevents the formation of high temperature piston deposits, as well as low temperature sludge, in order to guarantee continuous oil flow inside the engine.
  • Oxidation stability — Provides a very high thermal and oxidation stability withstanding high thermal stresses of high output trunk piston engines and reducing undercrown deposits.
  • Rust protection — Effective inhibitor package prevents rusting in stern tube applications.

Texaco Texmar 16 SG oil is a high performance, medium alkaline diesel engine oil for medium and highspeed trunk piston diesel engines.

Texaco Texmar 16 SG oil, 16 base number oil, is blended from highly refined quality base oils in combination with a specially developed package containing alkaline detergents, dispersants, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors and anti-wear additives.

Texaco Texmar 16 SG oil is recommended for the lubrication of medium and high-speed turbo charged and naturally aspirated diesel engines, operating on gas oil and marine diesel oil containing low to medium sulfur levels (up to 1.8%).

Texaco Texmar 16 SG is especially developed for marine and power generation applications. Taro 16 SG oil is highly suitable for applications that include a separator in the lubrication system. Texaco Texmar 16 SG oil can be used in a multitude of applications such as reduction gears, air compressors, medium loaded gear applications, stern tubes, propulsion and auxiliary engines.

Texaco Texmar 16 SG oil meets the requirements of the major high and medium-speed marine diesel engine manufacturers.

Texaco Texmar 16 SG oil meets the performance requirements of API Service Category CF.

Typical test data are average values only. Minor variations which do not affect product performance are to be expected in normal manufacturing.
