Trinseo Magnum™ 2642 ABS, Impact Grade  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; ABS Polymer; Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), Heat Resistant, Molded

Material Notes: MAGNUM® ABS resins are thermoplastic materials which provide an excellent balance of processability, impact resistance and heat resistance as imparted by the various polymer compositions. MAGNUM ABS resin are available in a wide range of melt flow rates, impact strength and heat resistance for both high and low gloss applications manufactured by injection molding, sheet or profile extrusion and thermoforming.

The 2600 series of MAGNUM ABS resins are designated for use in healthcare applications. Both high and low gloss resins are available which have passed the USP XXIII Class IV medical testing. Other non-USP classified testing is also done on the MAGNUM 2600 series of ABS resins to evaluate the biocompatibility of the resins.

MAGNUM 2642 ABS resin is a low gloss ABS with impact resistance and processability similar to the high gloss MAGNUM 2610 ABS resin. With a melt flow rate of 6 g/10 min. and an Izod impact strength of 160 J/m, MAGNUM 2642 is suitable for many healthcare applications.
