Material Notes: ChemRex 400 Construct Adhesive is a synthetic rubber-resin which bonds to concrete, masonry, metal, gypsum, cement board, asbestos cement board, and composition board. It can be applied with a caulking gun or power pump. Typical applications include gluing plywood subfloors to wood floor joints, adhering wallboard to studs, bonding paneling to furring strips, board to board laminations, and installation of ceramic tile.

Open time is 15 minutes ± 3 minutes depending on temperature and humidity. The percent solids is 65% ± 2% given the ASTM D 1259 test method. ChemRex 400 Construct Adhesive does not freeze. The lap shear is 410 psi on wet lumber, 570 psi on dry lumber, 480 psi on plywood/metal, and 270 on metal/metal. Each lap shear value is based on the ASTM D 3930 test method.
