Material Notes: A black high density polyethylene copolymer specifically for extrusion of potable water, industrial, and mining pipe. It has NSF certification and is recognized by the Plastic Pipe Institute as having a PE 3408 rating. The natural version of this resin is K44-06-122.

Notch Tensile (PENT) is > 100 hrs. per ASTM F 1473. Carbon black loading is 2.3% per ASTM D 1603. Cell classification is 345464C per ASTM D 3350. Hydrostatic design basis is 11.0 MPa (1600 psi) at 23°C and 6.9 MPa (1000 psi) at 60°C per ASTM D 2837.
