Thermal Ceramics V-19 Block Insulation
Categories: Ceramic

Material Notes: V-19 Block is manufactured from vermiculite granules and high-temperature bonding materials. This versatile product is available in thicknesses up to 4".

V-19 Block is an economical, energy saving insulation with minimal shrinkage at its top temperature limit, and good compressive strength. These features make V-19 a good design choice for back-up insulation applications.

V-19 compositional characteristics permits effective adhesion of cement finishes. Therm-O-Stix is an ideal adhesive product with superior qualities when used with V-19.

V-19 Block must be pre-drilled for placement since it is not impalable over anchors due to its high green strength. However this property makes it easy to cast or gun against with refractory castables.

Features:

  • Economical structural insulation
  • 1900°F (1038°C) temperature rating
  • Low thermal conductivity
  • No organic binders or fillers
  • Manufactured to close dimensional tolerances, max. ± 1/16”
  • Volumetric stable to use limit
  • Alternative to mineral wool board
  • Applications:

  • Back-up insulation in all industries
  • Suitable for use with castables, firebrick, refractory plastic and ceramic fiber
