Material Notes: Product description: TEGO® Antifoam 2-57 is an antifoam emulsion based on organo-modified siloxanes.

Application: TEGO® Antifoam 2-57 may be used for foam control in a variety of industrial applications, e. g.

  • during processing and application of polymer dispersions
  • in concrete plasticizers based on lignin sulfo-nate, naphthalene sulfonate and melamine sulfonate
  • in processing and application of pressure-sensitive adhesives
Properties / Benefits: As well as excellent foam control TEGO® Antifoam 2-57 provides additional benefits including:
  • excellent compatibility as pre-defoamer in various polymer dispersion applications (including PSA)
  • no negative effects in downstream applications (no surface defects, fish eyes etc.)
  • easy incorporation into concrete plasticizers and excellent storage stability (no separation)
  • improvement of concrete flowability
  • good compatibility with rubber hoses/ gaskets
