Master Bond offers RoHS compliant, electrically conductive systems to replace lead soldering. These epoxy and silicone adhesives offer low volume resistivity, low outgassing and high temperature resistance.

Superior Flux Superior Preflux Nickel Cleaner
Categories: Metal; Nonferrous Metal; Solder/Braze Alloy

Material Notes: Description: Superior PreFlux Nickel Cleaner was specially formulated to remove oxides from Nickel and Nickel-based alloys prior to lead tinning or soldering. The Superior PreFlux Nickel Cleaner is a waterbased acid cleaner that can be used immediately prior to any lead or lead frame tinning operation.

Application: Prior to using the Superior PreFlux Nickel Cleaner, it is recommended that any organic film such as oil, grease, or others be removed from the surface. This may be accomplished by using a solvent vapor degreaser or an aqueous cleaning system using the Superior SyberKleen 2000 in a 10% concentration. To remove the oxide, the Nickel or Nickel alloy components should be dipped in the Superior PreFlux Nickel Cleaner a period of 1-30 seconds depending on the degree of oxidation. Room temperature or heated PreFlux Cleaner (up to 60°C/140°F) is recommended. The components should then be rinsed in clean water to remove post-dipping residues prior to tinning.
