Formosa Plastics Formolene® 2706A Injection Molding RTPO Polypropylene  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Elastomer, TPE; Thermoplastic Olefinic Elastomer (TPO); Polypropylene (PP); TPO

Material Notes: Reactor (In-Situ) Thermoplastic Olefin (RTPO)

Applications: Automotive, appliances, lawn and garden, medical and rigid packaging.

Formolene 2706A is an RTPO made with gas phase technology containing approximately 25% ethane-propane rubber (EPR). It exhibits an excellent balance of physical and thermodynamic properties which make it an ideal choice for critical applications in the areas of automotive, appliances, lawn and garden, medical, and rigid packaging. It exhibits outstanding cold temperature impact resistance and ESCR coupled with a good balance of flexural and tensile strength. Ease of processability and recyclability along with a broad service temperature range make it ideal for applications where engineering thermoplastics or compounded homopolymer/EPDM blends are used.

Specimens were injection molded according to the conditions specified in ASTM D4101.
