M Chemical GUARD DOG™ UV944 HALS Light Stabilizer
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: GUARD DOG™ UV944 hindered amine light stabilizer is a highly effective radical scavenger that protects polymers against degradation caused by exposure to UV radiation. It is an oligomeric HALS characterized by extremely low volatility, high thermal stability and excellent compatibility with many substrates. its oligomeric structure makes it particularly effective when used in thin section articles such as fiber and film and also finds application as an antioxidant for long term thermal stability and as a heat stabilizer in a wide range of polymers.
Warning: GUARD DOG™ UV944 can adversely react with compounds such as flame retardants, pesticides and fine chemicals that contain sulfur or halogens.

Applications: Extremely effective in LDPE, HDPE, PP resin, elastomers, blends and fiber, XPE, EVA films, ABS, PS, polyurethanes, polyamides and polyacetals and is recommended for thin and thick sections and also in film applications.

Typical Properties:

  • Product Form - Pale yellow powder or pastille
  • Solubility@ 20°C (g/100ml solvent): Acetone - 50, Water - <0.001, Hexane - 40, Methanol - 30, Methyl Chloride - 50, Chloroform - 50, Benzene - 50
