Mallard Creek Polymers Rovene® 4470 Carboxylated Styrene-Butadiene Emulsion
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE); Styrene Butadiene Rubber

Material Notes: ROVENE® 4470 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a very firm hand with outstanding strength properties. This binder is able to accept high filler loads of calcium carbonate, clays, and alumina trihydrate and still retain excellent tensile strength. ROVENE® 4470 is crosslinkable with external crosslinking agents. Sodium polyacrylate thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. In contrast to conventional SBR polymers, ROVENE® 4470 is more efficient in thickener use. It also has good aging properties, water resistance, and adhesion to a wide variety of fibers.
APPLICATIONS: ROVENE® 4470 is recommended for applications in carpet and needle-punch backcoating.
