Permabond LH054 Anaerobic Threadsealant
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Acrylic/Cyanoacrylate Adhesive

Material Notes: Permabond® LH054 is an anaerobic curing, calibrated strength pipe sealant that allows for easier disassembly – especially of larger diameter pipes. It cures anaerobically when in contact with metal parts (as in a threaded pipe joint). The product is instant sealing with full cure occurring in 12-16 hours. The permanent seal is inert to hydrocarbons (gasoline, diesel fuel), most acids, solvents and steam.

Permabond® LH054 seals iron, copper or brass pipe and is designed to obtain more complete cure on less active surfaces such as stainless steel and aluminum.

The product is available in a brush-top dispenser. It is applied onto the first few threads, assembled and tightened with a wrench. Instant sealability of 500 psi is obtained, but final adjustment can be made up to several hours after assembly.

Features & Benefits:

  • Easy to use and apply
  • Directional freedom
  • Does not contain solvents
  • Excellent chemical and temperature resistance
  • Cures at room temperature
  • Will not shred, tear or cause blockages
