Material Notes: Epichlorohydrin is a chemical intermediate, mainly dedicated to the manufacturing of epoxy resins used in Paints & coatings, Composites, Adhesives and Electronics. It is also used in non-epoxy applications, such as Pulp & paper chemicals, Water treatment and Healthcare products. Solvay has developed and patented a new glycerin-based process for the production of epichlorohydrin, called Epicerol®.
