Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN) PVD Coating

Material Notes: This purple/bronze colored coating is a high performance coating which is high in machining of abrasive and difficult-to-machine materials such as cast iron, aluminum alloys, tool steels, and nickel alloys. TiAlN offers improved ductility that makes it an outstanding choice for interrupted cutting operations, while its superior oxidation resistance provides good performance in high temperature machining. Typical coating thickness is 1-5 µm. Adhesion measured by scratch test is 70.0 N.
