Sandvik SAF 2304TM is a duplex stainless steel (austenitic-ferritic) with a low carbon content. The material is characterized by the following properties:

  • very good resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
  • good resistance to general corrosion an pitting.
  • high strength - approximately twice as high proof strength as austenitic stainless steels.
  • physical properties that offer design advantages.
  • ease of fabrication and good toughness.
  • good weldability
