Lanxess Addovate® 390 PU Additive
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: As a stabilizer for the production of polyurethane rigid foams.

Addovate 390 is a non-hydrolysable silicone stabilizer and may be used for the production of polyurethane rigid foams as e.g. insulations of appliances, pipe insulations, continuously or discontinuously produced panels as well as cavity foaming. Addovate 390 is a very versatile stabilizer of medium to high activity with additional excellent emulsifying properties. The use of Addovate 390 may be always recommended if either premixes or slow reacting formulations which contain incompatible raw materials (as e.g. polyols and physical blowing agents) should be stabilized. Due to the well balanced properties of Addovate 390 a reliable stabilization and a reduction of cell defects can be achieved in slow as well as fast systems. Addovate 390 is especially approved if pentane is used as physical blowing agent. In that case slow reacting systems with long flow distances (e.g. insulation of appliances) as well as fast reacting systems (e.g. continuous production of panels on double band laminators) can be produced reliably.
