Magnesium AM100A-T61, Sand Cast
Categories: Metal; Nonferrous Metal; Magnesium Alloy

Material Notes: AM100A-T61 is pressure tight, with a good combination of strength and elongation. Can be cast as permanent-mold (AMS 4483, ASTM B 199), investment cast (AMS T6 temper, 4455, ASTM B 403), Sand cast (ASTM B 80). No longer widely used, typical uses were commercial and military pressure-tight sand and permanent mold structural castings with good combinations of tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation. Very good weldability.
