Material Notes: VESTAMID® LX9123 NC is a high-viscosity, glass fiber-reinforced, heat and UV stabilized polyamide 12 compound with good process-ability for sport components such as shoe soles, which require very good fatigue performance. Parts made by the semi-crystalline polyamide VESTAMID® LX9123 NC are characterized by excellent dimensional stability, constantly high impact strength, low coefficient of friction, good chemical resistance at changing ambient humidity and excellent TPU bonding strength. The low melting point of VESTAMID® LX9123 NC enables especially the injection molding of parts with a wide processing window. It is suitable for applications with high ratio of flow length to wall thickness. Properties of compounds based on polyamide 12 vary little with changing humidity due to very low moisture absorption. VESTAMID® LX9123 NC is suitable for production of injection molded parts with efficient cycle times. VESTAMID® LX9123 NC is supplied as cylindrical granules ready for processing, in moisture-proof bags. Inside the original and undamaged packaging, the product has a shelf life of at least 2 years when stored in dry rooms at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
