Material Notes: SILTEX® SILICA YARN XS-150 is comprised of continuous filament, amorphous silica fibers and offers superior protection in electrical applications, as well as excellent resistance to thermal shock and high dielectric strength. SILTEX® SILICA YARN XS-150 is highly porous, and will operate continuously at temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C). Lubricated with PTFE for ease of handling and improved abrasion resistance, SILTEX® SILICA YARN XS-150 has minimal shrinkage at service temperatures.
