Material Notes: Consolidated glass is produced from porous/leached glass by consolidating/sintering to a non-porous clear glass through heat treatment above 1200°C. It is used in a wide variety of demanding and specialty applications that take advantage of its strength, optics, electrical resistivity, and temperature and chemical resistance.
