Characterization: Arcol E-434 polyether polyol is a 4,800-molecular-weight polyoxypropylene triol specially modified with ethylene oxide. Properties / Applications: Because Arcol E-434 contains a high percentage of primary hydroxyl groups, it has a relatively high rate of reactivity. It is compatible with most polyether polyols and can be blended with other diols, triols and polymer polyols to achieve desirable modifications of product properties. Arcol E-434 polyol is used in elastomeric applications and in the production of high-resilience flexible and semi-rigid foams. Typical applications include sealants, caulks, deck coatings, elastomers, tire fill and reaction injection molding (RIM). As with any product, use of Arcol E-434 polyol in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
