BYK Advitrol® 8-10 Rheological additive

Material Notes:	Description: Advitrol 8-10 is designed to be an easy to disperse, heat-activated rheological additive for low to medium polarity solvent based coating systems. Advitrol 8-10 requires no polar activator as do "conventional" organoclays. Activation is achieved by reaching a minimum processing temperature of 110°F. Advitrol 8-10 is not suitable as a post additive for finished paints. Tixogel® EZ 100 is recommended for that application. Applications: Rule 66 Mineral Spirits, VM&P Naphtha, Hi-Flash Naphtha, Xylene, Toluene, and mixtures of aliphatic and/or aromatic solvents are all suitable for Advitrol 8-10. Advitrol 8-10 does not depend upon resin functionality to achieve its gel structure as are other "self-activating" organoclays. Advitrol 8-10 will gel linseed oil systems and binderless systems.
