Covestro Texin® 245 Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPU)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyurethane, TP

Material Notes: Texin 245 resin is an aromatic polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethane with a Shore hardness of approximately 43D. It can be processed by injection molding; extrusion processes are not recommended.

Properties / Applications: Texin 245 resin is characterized by excellent low-temperature properties and excellent fuel and oil resistance. It also offers outstanding abrasion resistance, impact strength, toughness, and flexibility. Texin 245 natural color resin complies with FDA food-contact regulations 21 CFR 177.1680 (Polyurethane Resins) and 177.2600 (Rubber Articles Intended for Repeated Use), subject to the limitations of these and any other applicable regulations. Typical applications include casters, couplings, sleeves and gears.
