Covestro DUREFLEX® PT6400 TPU
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyurethane, TP

Material Notes: Characterization: Dureflex PT1710S is a specially formulated aromatic polyether based film.

Properties / Applications: Dureflex PT6400 exhibits excellent hydrolysis and fungus resistance, and therefore are recommended for applications that have continuous exposure to water and high humidity environments. These products are recommended for adhesion to fabrics as a protective and adhesive layer, or as “stand alone ” films in demanding elastic applications. Their applications include situations where high elasticity and the good hydrolysis of resistance characteristic of polyether TPUs are required. Dureflex PT6400 can be formulated with lubricant and/or slip packages to priovide various combinations of surface slip and product haze. If your application will experience continuous exposure to petrochemicals such as gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, and many solvents, consider using Dureflex brand polyester polyurethane film and sheet grades. As with any product, use of Dureflex PT6400 in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
