Solvay FM® 410 Adhesive Foam
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive

Material Notes: Description: FM® 410 adhesive foam, a modified epoxy material, is supplied in sheet form and may be cured in place by either a free-foaming or restrained foaming process. The operating temperature is -67°F to 350°F (-55°C to 177°C). FM 410 is specifically designed for splicing honeycomb core under ambient pressure. Typical applications are bonding of inserts or edge members to core and local honeycomb core reinforcement where increased shear strength is required. Because FM 410 contains no metallic fillers it has good radar transparency.

Features & Benefits:

  • Designed for splicing honeycomb core under ambient pressure
  • Bonds inserts or edge members to honeycomb core
  • No metallic filler or asbestos
  • Provides local honeycomb core reinforcement where increased shear is required
  • Cure temperature 225°F to 350°F (107°C to 177°C)
Applications:
  • Splicing honeycomb core
  • Bonding of inserts or edge members to core
  • Local reinforcement of honeycomb core
