Thermal Ceramics FireMaster Marine Blanket
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Silicon Oxide

Material Notes: FireMaster Marine Blanket is a lightweight, non-combustible mat that is produced from a calcium- magnesium-silicate raw material. There are no organic binders present in this mechanically needled mat producing no smoke or flame during a fire condition and maintains good surface integrity and strength. This fiber technology is soluble within the human body and provides excellent thermal and acoustic properties.

Features:

  • UL classified R8418, Non-combustibility per ISO 1182
  • US Coast Guard, DNV, and ABS approved for structural fire protection of IMO high speed craft and SOLAS commercial vessels
  • DNV and Lloyds approved for off-shore platform hydrocarbon bulkhead and deck applications
  • Up to 50% weight and installed savings over mineral wool
  • Aluminum and steel bulkhead and deck systems: A30, A60, and H60 Bulkhead and Deck structural insulation
  • Mechanical abuse and oil spray protection facings available
  • Inert and resistant to mold growth and attack of vermin
  • Applications:

  • A30 - Aluminum Bulkhead/Decks
  • A60 - Aluminum Bulkhead/Decks
  • A30-Steel Bulkhead/Decks
  • A60-Steel Bulkhead/Decks
  • H60-Steel Bulkhead/Decks
