Dow Elvaloy® AC 2618 Ethylene Methyl Acrylate

Material Notes: Elvaloy® AC 2618 is a copolymer of ethylene and ethyl acrylate. It is available in pellet form for use in conventional extrusion equipment designed to process polyethylene type resins.

Elvaloy® AC 2618 resin complies with the U. S. Food and Drug Administration regulation 21 CFR177.1320; Ethylene Ethyl Acrylate copolymers, for use in contact with food, except for holding food during cooking. These EEA resins must be blended with olefin polymers complying with 21 CFR 177.1520 in such proportions that the ethyl acrylate content of the blend does not exceed 8 percent by weight. Migration limits must also be complied as specified in paragraph (c)(2).

This former DuPont product line is now a Dow product line.
