Material Notes: Conoco Gear Oil is a heavy-duty extreme-pressure industrial gear lubricant formulated from high-quality hydrocracked base stocks to provide excellent oxidation inhibition, EP load-carrying capacity, resistance to foaming and rust and corrosion protection. Gear Oil is recommended for use in a variety of enclosed gear set types operating under demanding conditions. Gear Oil has been tested and formally approved by Cincinnati Milacron in accordance with its Lubricant Specifications (ISO 68 to 1000, respectively – P-63, 76, 77, 74, 59, 35 and 78). Gear Oil exceeds AGMA Specification 9005 (replacement for 250.04) and U.S. Steel 224 Specification for enclosed gear lubricants. Gear Oil “M” series are specially formulated for use in enclosed gear sets equipped with mist lubrication systems and are approved by Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) in accordance with its Lubricant Specifications.
