Phon Tech PHOENIX™ 16901 Extrusion Grade TPE
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Elastomer, TPE

Material Notes: Extrusion is a process used to create objects of a fixed cross-sectional profile. A material is pushed through a die of the desired cross-section. The two main advantages of this process over other manufacturing processes are its ability to create very complex cross-sections, and to work materials that are brittle, because the material only encounters compressive and shear stresses. It also forms parts with an excellent surface finish. Phon Tech has developed several PHOENIX™ Extrusion Grade Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPEs) that are suitable for extrusion profile, tube, film and sheet. The material has low MFI and very consistent quality for continual process of extrusion. Typically, the MFI of TPEs should be less than3g/10min. PHOENIX™ Extrusion Grade Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPEs) can be co-extruded with PP and PE, which creates an excellent combination of hard and soft material. Soft and hard TPEs combination can also be done by PHOENIX™ Extrusion Grade Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPEs).

Features:

  • Smooth and silky surface
  • Non-sticky
  • Excellent tensile strength
