Borealis BorSafe™ ME3446 Yellow Polyethylene Compound for The Coextrusion of Identifying Stripes On Black MD Pipe for Natural Gas
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); Medium Density (MDPE); Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE), Extruded

Material Notes: ME3446 is a bimodal, cadmium free, medium density polyethylene compound designed for coextrusion of yellow identifying stripes. It is fully stabilized against thermal degradation and the die build-up during extrusion is minimized. Furthermore, it has a highly covered pigment that gives a bright yellow stripe even when extruded as a thin layer on a black pipe. It also contains UV-stabilizer to ensure excellent weathering resistance.

ME3446 is recommended for identifying stripes of black pipe for natural gas produced from ME3440.

Former trade name for this product was Borstar®.
