BYK Bentolite® L3 Magnesium aluminum Silicate Additive

Material Notes: Bentolite L-3 is a specially processed magnesium aluminum silicate additive ideally suited for use as a binder and plasticizer for plastic refractory mixes. Its neutral pH and low impurity levels make it the best choice for mixes requiring long shelf life without loss of plasticity. In comparison with mixes containing conventional sodium bentonites. Bentlite L-3 plastic mixes maintain their tackiness, plasticity and shelf life for an extended period. Addition levels of 3-5% of Bentolite L-3 provide optimal binding and high green strength in high alumina phos-bonded mixes without harming the integrity of refractory properties.
