Shin-Etsu Silicones Primer 33
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Elastomer, TPE

Material Notes: Primer No. 33 is a reddish brown colored primer designed for bonding HCR/silicone rubber to plastics and metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, and iron.
Use: Metal substratum surface must be clean, dry and oil free. Apply primer on the clean substratum surface to form thin layer followed by drying process at 25 ± 3C for 30 min to remove the solvent. Bake at 200 C for 60 min. This process is necessary for obtaining uniform bonding. Cure process needs to take place within 24 hrs at the longest after primer is applied to the substratum. Since primer contains solvent (IPA and toluene), proper handling is required. Store primer in a cool dark place in a tightly sealed container.
