Material Notes: Product description: TEGOPREN® 6846 is an organic modified siloxane based wax, especially designed to improve the processing and final performance of polyolefin.

Application: TEGOPREN® 6846 is used as a semi-compatible slip and release agent for various end uses.

Benefits: During the extrusion process TEGOPREN® 6846 improves the flow characteristics. This results in:

  • reduction of shear during the extrusion of polyolefin with low MFI
  • reduction of amperage values, which means lower energy consumption
  • higher throughput during the extrusion
  • improved cycle time/less machine down time
TEGOPREN® 6846 combines the properties of the organic modification and the typical characteristics of a siloxane. This results in improved characteristics of the polymer:
  • smooth processing during down-stream application, especially during foam extrusion
  • no negative impact on printability/sealability smoother surface of films can be easily deter-mined by lower COF values
  • improved slip properties
