Material Notes:	Advantages: Turned, ground and polished to precision sizes so it is extremely accurate as to straightness and finish – almost ready for immediate installation. Will withstand shock and vibration to provide long life. Readily machinable with consistent hardness throughout upon delivery. All bars are delivered machine straightened and stress relieved to remove residual internal stresses. Heat-treated to 28/32 Rockwell “C” to develop high physical properties, other hardnesses can be obtained. Bars are specially prepared and oiled for safe shipment. Delivered with a diameter tolerance of +.000”/-.002” or better. Typical Applications: Arbors, gears, piston rods, studs, axles, lead screws, set screws, transmission screws, boring bars, pins, shafting and tie rods. Information from Wingate Alloys Inc.
