Material Notes: Description: Technipol® 171 is a thermoplastic adhesive co-polyester based. This grade is mainly used as raw material for the extrusion of the rod cement used by the automatic lasting machines in the footwear industry. Thanks to its quick setting time, its good flexibility, its excellent wettability and its high adhesion to leather and to both synthetic and regenerated materials, Technipol® 171 is the ideal adhesive for the shoe manufacturing. Due to the wide variety of materials used in the today’s footwear construction, it is recommended to run some preliminary trials in order to homologate the Technipol® 171. In the manufacturing process of Technipol® 171 no organo-tin compounds have been used.
