Applications: Armowax W-440 is a unique processing aid and compatibiliser for highly filled polyolefins, however also suitable for engineering polymers and elastomers. It offers remarkable improvement in processing behavior and properties of the filled polymer compounds. Armowax W-440 is polymeric ester of a long chain alcohol. Due to this the molecule contains hydrophobic as well as hydrophilic groups. For that reason it is also described as a double comb polymer. The combination of hydrophobic and hydrophilic groups provides improved wetting of the filler surface by the polymer matrix. Thereby ensuring optimum dispersion.
