Akrochem Apcoflex® N385 Copolymer of Butadiene and Acrylonitrile
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; ABS Polymer

Material Notes: Product Description: Apcoflex N385 is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile manufactured by advanced cold emulsion polymerization. It is a non-staining, medium mooney, and high acrylonitrile polymer designed to aid in processing operations such as extruding and calendering. One of the most important properties is exceptional resistance to attack by most oils and solvents. It also offers better abrasion resistance and gas permeability than the general-purpose elastomers like natural rubber and SBR. These attributes are a result of the highly polar characteristic of acrylonitrile, the content of which determines the level of resistance.

Applications: Apcoflex N385 is recommended for use in gaskets, o-rings, seals, hoses, brake pads, oil field products, industrial and automotive molded and extruded parts.
