Material Notes: TYCHEM® 68710 is an anionic carboxylated styrene-butadiene copolymer latex alkali swellable thickener. Features: readily disperses in cold water, neutralized with ammonia, amines, or fixed alkali, highly efficient thickening, imparts significantly improved workability in cementitious mixtures, imparts a pseudo-plastic rheology, sharp viscosity response at pH above 8; very little response below pH 8, Note: Passes 5 freeze-thaw cycles, but loses some efficiency. Storage and handling: protect from freezing. Ideal storage temperature is 22°C (72°F). Stability at 22°C (72°F) is 180 days when properly stored. APPLICATIONS: TYCHEM ® 68710 a highly efficient thickener for alkaline aqueous systems including portland cement based mixtures, damp proof membranes, and adhesive mastics.
