| HB-105 is a fiber-grade diacetate flake used primarily for filter tow and Clarifoil® solvent cast film. Manufactured by acetylation of cellulose acetate, flake can be converted into a wide range of products including plastics, films, and fibers. Cellulosic and thermoplastic, acetate can selectively absorb and remove low levels of certain organic chemicals and be easily bonded with plasticizers, heat and pressure. The primary raw material for Celanese cellulose acetate products is wood pulp, a naturally renewable resource from managed forests.
