Duralumin (duraluminum, duraluminium, duralum, duralium, or dural) is an obsolete trade name for age-hardenable aluminum alloys containing about 4-5% copper, 0.5-1% manganese, and 0.5-2% magnesium. Common current alloys such as 2011, 2014 and 2024 correspond to the Duralumin composition. |
