Master Bond EP62-1LPSPMed White Two component epoxy
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Convenient handling
  • Pigmented white
  • Capable of resisting repeated sterilization
  • Passes ISO 10993-5 requirements
Product Description: Master Bond EP62-1LPSPMed White is a two part, very low viscosity epoxy that passes ISO 10993-5 certifications. It has a forgiving mix ratio of 100 to 25 by weight. Upon mixing, the viscosity is markedly low and the working life is lengthy, 12-24 hours at room temperature. The recommended cure schedule is overnight at room temperature followed by either 8-10 hours at 60-70°C, 60-90 minutes at 80-100°C, or 30-60 minutes at 125°C. To obtain optimal properties, use one of the schedules above, followed by a post cure of 110-135°C for 2-4 hours. This epoxy contains no solvents or diluents and has low shrinkage upon curing. The system bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, glass, rubber and many plastics. It has an attractive array of physical strength properties and is a reliable electrical insulator. EP62- 1LPSPMed White offers superior resistance to EtO, radiation, chemical sterilization and autoclaving. It can be used for both reusable and disposable medical devices. Its low viscosity makes it viable for small potting and encapsulating applications. The system has a degree of toughness that allows for thermal cycling, and the ability to withstand mechanical shock and vibration. Its temperature range extends from 4K to +400°F. This compound is an attractive candidate for medical devices where a low viscosity, white colored, sterilization resistant epoxy is desirable.

Product Advantages:

  • Forgiving 100 to 25 mix ratio by weight
  • Ultra low viscosity
