| EM 995 is a DEA-free tall oil fatty amide designed for use in water soluble metalworking fluids. EM 995 imparts lubricity, corrosion protection, improved metal wetting and secondary emulsification abilities. Additionally, it can be used as an alkaline reserve and as a viscosity builder in synthetics and semi-synthetics. EM 995 can be formulated into soluble oils, synthetics, and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids. Seasonal variations in raw materials may slightly alter EM 995’s appearance and sensitivity to cooler temperatures. Under cooler environments, gelling or solidification may occur. Gradual warming of the material will return the product to the typical homogeneous fluid appearance. EM 995 should be stored in an original container between 60-100°F. If stored below these temperatures, it may crystallize. This can be reversed by using slight agitation and raising the temperature between 80- 120°F.Information provided by DoverChem |
